The truth is that over 50% of the population are now overweight, which is why so many of us are looking for ways to maintain a healthy weight. There is now such a huge variety when it comes to great tasting foods and drink, it can often seem impossible not to over-indulge on high-calorie items. In the past we would have burned off these calories, but our modern lives are now far more sedentary – making it harder and harder to burn off these calories and keep out bodies in good condition.
Zotrim has been specially designed as a way to help with both of these issues:
- Consume less calories: The formulation of Zotrim is designed to make you feel full during a meal, and for longer after the meal, to help you snack a lot less.
- Burn off more calories: Zotrim can also help you to feel more energetic, which will in turn help you to burn of the calories that you do consume a lot quicker. Zotrim has been tested in a number of clinical trials and has shown excellent weight loss results.
You do not need to alter your lifestyle to see these changes, though with some changes in your diet and exercise regimen Zotrim will work even more effectively.

Zotrim’s Natural Ingredients
All of the active weight loss ingredients found in Zotrim are special extracts from South American Plants, all of which have been traditionally used for their invigorating and stimulating properties.
Zotrim’s formulated has resulted from years of research performed by an international team of experts, led by the weight loss expert Dr Lasse Hessel. This research included studies taken by Cornell University of New York, the Middlesex Hospital in London and several clinics in France and Denmark.
These plants used in the formulation for Zotrim have also been used for centuries in South America, as part of traditional food and drink, due to their beneficial effects including invigorators and stimulants. The three plants contained in Zotrim are:
Yerbe Maté (Ilex paraguariensis)
This is a small tree that grows throughout semi-tropical regions of South America and is part of the holly family.
It is now widely cultivated due to such high demand – in Argentina and Uruguay its leaves are used for hot drinks, making both tea and coffee.
This use is now becoming more popular around the world due to its invigorating and stimulating effects.
Guarana (Paullinia cupana)
This is a climbing shrub, growing up to 12m high. This plant is native to the Amazon and cultivated in Brazil. Its seeds contain 2-3 times more caffeine than coffee beans, and are ground to a paste that is popular in drinks. This has, in fact, become the ‘national drink’ of Brazil after years of use by the native Amazonian tribes.
Guarana is mostly known for its stimulating effects and general health benefits – there is growing evidence that it can even improve mental and cognitive performance.
Damiana (Turnera aphrodisiaca)
This small shrub is found throughout the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. Its leaves have always been used traditionally to make tea, and they are collected during flowering. This drink is reputed to have aphrodisiac qualities and has been used for this purpose since the Mayans.
In history, Spanish missionaries reported back that Mexican Indians drank this tea as a way to enhance lovemaking, though it is now also promoted as a method of invigoration.
Zotrim is a completely unique, patented herbal supplement that has proven evidence for its effects on weight loss. This evidence is what sets it apart from all the other non-medicinal weight loss products – it has been confirmed as the only supplement with real scientific proof.
Studies of Zotrim
1) Placebo Controlled Study of Weight Loss
Studies of Zotrim has been done for 45 days to understand the effects it has on weight loss. 47 overweight subjects ages 20-60 were allocated either a placebo or the Zotrim formulation – instructed to take three tablets with water before their main meals.
The study showed that those taking Zotrim lost an average of 5.1 kilograms (or 11.3 pounds) compared to just 0.3 kilograms (0.7 pounds) lost when taking the placebo.
2) Weight Maintenance
One of the hardest things about losing weight is keeping the weight off. This is why a follow up study was undertaken in order to show how successful Zotrim is in maintaining weight loss. Twenty-two out of the twenty-four who had been taking weight loss were allowed to keep taking it for another twelve months, weighed monthly. The result was that their ideal weight was maintained – where the average weight started at 73 kilograms (161 pounds) and ended at 72.5 kilograms (160 pounds) after the 12 months.
3) Weight Loss and Eating Behavior
A test was performed with 50 UK consumers looking to lose weight. They were given Zotrim and instructed to take two tablets, three times a day, with a glass of water before meals. The average weight loss over 28 days was shown to be 2.5 kilograms (5.5 pounds), over half said they were eating less than usual, and two thirds said that they were now snacking less in between meals.
4) Gastric Emptying Study
Stomach fullness and the gastric emptying rate are known to be closely connected to the mechanisms of eating control, so a study was undertaken to test Zotrim’s effect in this area. Seven previously fasted subjects were tested and they took three capsules of Zotrim or three placebo capsules with 20ml of apple juice, followed by 400 ml of apple juice 15 minutes later.
Gastric volume was then measured every 10 minutes and the time it took to empty the stomach. The test showed that the average time it took to empty the stomach was 58 minutes for those taking Zotrim, and 38 minutes when taking the placebo.
5) Fullness Study
The time it took to a perceived fullness was investigated in 20 subjects, who took two capsules of Zotrim or two placebo capsules before meals. They recorded the time that it took for them to feel full during each meal. On average, the combined time to feel full over three meals was 35 minutes with Zotrim, and 61 minutes with the placebo.
6) Effect on Snacking and TV Viewing
TV viewing has been shown as a factor in influencing eating behavior and becoming overweight. This is why the effect of TV viewing and Zotrim on energy intake from snacks was studied in 11 adults. Those tested either took two Zotrim tablets or two placebo tablets with a drink in the morning and before lunch. Two hours after lunch, those tested would be given access to a TV video or a blank screen with access to unlimited snacks, and their total energy intake was measured. The energy intake was a lot higher when subjects were watching the TV compared to when not watching. And their energy intake whilst watching TV was also reduced when the subjects took Zotrim.
7) Effect of Zotrim on Waist Circumference
In one test, 61 overweight women took Zotrim for four weeks. Their eating patterns and hunger were all recorded through questionnaires, and weight loss and waist measurements were taken at intervals of two weeks. The average weight loss was 1.8kg (4lbs) in the four weeks, with an average waist reduction of around 4.3cm (just under 2 inches) in the four weeks. Those tested felt less hungry in between meals and fuller after meals.
8) Study With Healthcare Professionals
The most recent Zotrim study involved 70 healthcare professionals who took the formula for six weeks. The results of the study showed that 2.3 kg was the average six-week weight loss. The average reduction in waist circumference was 3.4cm. Hunger between meals was reduced, consumption of snacks was less, and those tested felt fuller after meals. 22% of those involved in this test lost more than 5% of their original weight. This weight loss can have a significant impact on health, especially when weight is lost from the abdominal areas.
